History Nikwax

Nikwax® Waterproofing is the world leader in water-based cleaning and waterproofing products for clothing, footwear and equipment. Nikwax® products are manufactured using the most advanced technologies and exported to 42 countries. They are used by many sports and outdoor enthusiasts around the world.

Nikwax Ltd. (England) was founded by Nick Brown, a hiker and mountaineer who independently created the first impregnation for footwear. Currently, Nikwax produces a full range of products for waterproofing clothing, footwear and equipment, as well as for cleaning and maintaining them.

A dedicated team of scientists and specialists at Nikwax is constantly working to develop and implement the latest manufacturing technologies, improving the quality and effectiveness of Nikwax products. In addition, Nikwax is the only company producing water-based cleaning and waterproofing products whose products undergo various types of quality control. Nikwax's R&D center continually tests products on testing equipment with various measuring devices and materials.
